Air source heat pump
Installing the system
- A retrofit to our 1906 Edwardian mid-terrace property.
- No changes to emitters or underfloor
- Heat Pump hanging on the wall above the flat roof of our extension
- Plant room all squeezed into the same space the existing gas boiler took up!
- A short install from my own company, Heat Geek and the wonderful Wes from West Hampstead Heating and Plumbing.
Living with a heat pump
- A much more constant temperature all year round
- Hot water is more than enough for our family using the "Lanky Ministore" - although baths need a bit of strategy!
- Decent savings so far based on the Heat Pump Plus Add On from OVO
- Whisper quiet, unless you're doing a rapid reheat of hot water
