About me
I like technology and support green energy usage. I wanted to prove to myself that a heat pump would work in a normal home. We additionally have solar panels, battery storage and an EV along with a heat pump tumble dryer. Luckily my wife is also interested in all the systems we have!

Installing the system

Other than some radiator upgrades, no changes to property. Installation was about 4-5 days and pretty painless

Living with a heat pump

We had an initial technical problem which turned out to be an error in a wiring diagram from the heat pump supplier. After that the system performed as expected. I have spent time tuning the settings for comfort and efficiency. We are warm and comfortable all day, plenty of hot water. It is imperative to run heat pumps as designed not like a boiler!
