Daikin air source heat pump in a 1983 - 2002 property

Fay

I'm a retired lady who wanted to "go green". Stage 1 was solar and battery, Stage 2 was an ASHP and Stage 3 will be an EV!

Air source heat pump

Installing the system

Installation took 4 days. Did my own planning permission, which was needed as I already had air con units, so had used up permitted development rights. IOW Council were really helpful and supportive with this. Hot water tank fitted into existing boiler cupboard.

Living with a heat pump

Having lived with a combi boiler all my adult life, I was apprehensive to make the switch. It is a completely different way to heat your house and it helps to be accepting of this. My install was during an unusually mild and sunny spring so it gave me time to tweak the radiators in each room before winter. There will be blips so go with someone who has a good reputation with aftercare.
