Installed by Originally John Cantor Heat Pumps. New Ecoforest HP by Neuenta

Installing the system

This is a grade 2 listed barn pre-1700 in a rural setting rebuilt in 2002 with a GSHP, probably one of the first in the UK. Originally used 2 Stiebel HPs (9 and 11 kW) for both heating and DHW. Underfloor heating throughout with low temperature pipe work suitable for HP output and enhanced insulation. Replaced with modulated 22kW Ecoforest GSHP in 2022. The modulation and internet connectivity are a great improvement.

Living with a heat pump

Has been excellent. Off-mains gas rural properties have limited options. Researched GSHP in 2000 and went for this option in the rebuild. New HP by Ecoforest is a great improvement.
