I’m in my mid twenties and this is my first home. We plan to live here for a long time so wanted to renovate it to make it more efficient and cheaper to live in. We have EV, Solar and battery too.

Installing the system

Full refurb of a 1960’s house, replacing the original back boiler and tanks. Fortunately property is well insulated and has good copper pipes (I believe 23mm) and 15mm to rads. Octopus took 4 days to install and were very professional.

Living with a heat pump

Yes, it’s been great. Hot water is very hot and runs on schedule. Cheap running costs with solar and battery. Our SCOP so far is over 4.0 since April 10th 2025 (install date).
