We're a family of four (adult children) who would like to do our bit to protect the environment, but not at "any" cost as life is already pretty expensive. The price quoted from Octopus made it a near no-brainer.

Installing the system

Octopus were a great installer, very professional throughout.

Living with a heat pump

early days yet but the usage so far has been good, we've tried to keep the house to a similar temperature as with a gas boiler, albeit with trying to make use of the overnight tariff as it's cheaper. Not got enough usage to conclusively say we've saved money yet as our bills were already low from the Intelligent Octopus tariff, but as we've completely disconnected from gas I think we are saving a bit.

Accessing the venue

Our property is a new build (7yrs old) and we have a large solar and battery bank (10kw) installed, the house is West facing at the rear.
